At BlackImpala Travel and Tours, we believe that the best African travel experiences come from those who have lived the African bush. We are a proudly Zimbabwean-owned travel agency dedicated to delivering authentic, safe, and unforgettable safaris, tours, and travel experiences across Zimbabwe, South Africa, and the broader Southern African region.
Founded by 2 friends with deep ranger and culinary roots, BlackImpala is not just another travel agency. We are 2 ex-rhino rangers and 1 chef who left conservation to share it — combining bush expertise, conservation values, and culinary passion to create travel experiences that feed both the spirit and the soul. We protected the bush. Now we share it.
Our Story
BlackImpala was founded in 2025 by 2 friends who met in the bush. Shepherd spent years as a rhino handler and game ranger, learning to read the land, respect wildlife, and keep people safe in the wild. Paymore grew up in Zimbabwe, trained as a rhino handler, then followed his passion for food to become a chef — bringing the bush to the plate with every meal he prepares.
We left conservation to share it. The name “BlackImpala” comes from the rare, fast, graceful, and agile antelope — and that is exactly how we operate. We move quick, guide true, and never miss the details. Today, we built a brand that moves quick but never misses the details. We are based in Marondera, Zimbabwe, with a growing reach across Zimbabwe, South Africa, and beyond — and our mission is to make African travel effortless for locals and visitors alike.
